  Stayed here the weekend and can honestly say horrific. Rude staff is an understatement, quality of care terrible. No communication of any medication they give you and its feels like a prison. Even feeling unwell I discharged myself as was concerned about my care. Flew back to the uk today and dealt with straight away, god bless the UK NHS!!!

  We have the best experience with my husband's Nephrologist. However, the toilets are quite small compared to Imed Elche.

  Just spent 3 nights in l med hospital benidorm the staff were first class, the food was not to good,on discharge they wouldn't take the canular out until we settled the bill and once payed their attitude changed.??

  My Husband was in for a back complaint which was treated with 4 days of rest only. He was coughing badly after 3 days and as he has a chest compliant we asked to see a Doctor. He/she had to come from A & E or downstairs anyway. I asked 3 times but no one ever came to see him as they were too busy!!!. When we left after 4 days he went to our own Doctor. As so many English people use the hospital they should either have a dedicated UK ward with nurses that speak English and UK TV channels or if that is not possible UK TV available in all rooms. I know we are in Spain and therefore Spanish is spoken but medical Spanish is very complicated and when you are in pain you need to be able to communicate with the carers from the Surgeons to the nurses. The food was terrible on the wards. Better to have bought in the canteen and brought it to the room. It was the same food but by the time it got upstairs it was inedible. Dried up and congealed. We couldnt wait to get out of there. Having also been in HCB which our insurance no longer cover, they should take a leaf out of their book . Food was very good. Nurses all spoke english and everyone put themselves out to help in anyway they could.

  Disgraceful rip off merchants... only interested in money they can squeeze out of you.... as soon as you say you want to go to a public hospital they through you out the door... no care or compassion... disgrace to the medical care... AND BE WARNED TO TELL YOU AMBULANCE DRIVE TO TAKE YOU TO HOSPITAL DE LA VILA JOIOSA INSTEAD... ITS PUBLIC AND BETTER WHERE YOU INSURANCE OR E111 will cover you.....
